During this intensive 8-hour course students will become familiar with proper shotgun manipulation in real world defensive situations. Instructors will provide a complete understanding of the limits of its range based on types of ammunition used and guide students through malfunction clearing and live fire drills. The defensive use of the pump-action or semiautomatic shotgun requires a thorough understanding and appreciation of its capabilities, handling and limitations. The class is taught by Templars Tactical founder George Matheir who has been utilizing the 12-gauge pump shotgun for over 25 years including actual police involved shooting as well as real live use of both breaching and bean bag rounds.
