We have known Mark & Curtis from Spartan Blade for over 20 years. Two great guys who know a thing or two about combat knives. As former SF operators, what they put into their knives is incredible. We are also proud to supply them with mercharness and Tactical Tethers as deployment options for all their fixed blade knives. I began to design and produce the Original mercharness over 20 years ago. Since then, it has been copied without people even bothering to call it something different. If you don’t get it from Spartan Knives or me it’s just a cheap copy. In the early 2000’s it was licensed to CRKT, but true to the way they do business they tried to make it overseas using some cheap yarn instead of actually using MILSPEC paracord in an attempt to save a few cents. Needless to say, after hearing from so many unhappy people, I chose not to renew the license agreement so once again showing complete lack of integrity or honor they knocked it off giving design credit to some other guy. If you are looking for an inexpensive, expedient way to conceal even larger fixed blades, look no further than the mercharness.
The Tactical Tether is simply that, a paracord tether that you can attach to any knife with a kydex sheath. It is simply tucked into the waistband instead of a fixed position allowing it to move with the body for comfort. The knife is drawn using a clearing cut to get someone off of you. When you resheath you are able to hold the sheath away from your body and not stab yourself.
